Mind a so, mind a such az előtte álló melléknév jelentését erősíti. So után melléknév vagy határozószó állhat, such után pedig főnév áll.
It so warm today, isn’t it? Olyan meleg van ma, nem?
We had such a good time. They are such nice people. We had such nice weather. Olyan jól éreztük magunkat. Olyan kedves emberek. Olyan jó időnk volt ma.
Megszámlálható, egyes számú főnév előtt használunk névelőt. Többes számú főnevek és megszámlálhatatlan főnevek előtt nem használjuk az a /an névelőt.
